    About CaringHand

Clinical support for survivorship from diagnosis onward.

Survivorship begins at diagnosis and continues through treatment, transition, and long-term survivorship. CaringHand brings clinical guidance and a Living Action Plan to the questions that continue across that full journey.

    CEO & Co-founder

    MBA, BS

At just five years old, Luke was diagnosed with a rare disease that doctors believed would severely limit his life. Through persistence and faith, he experienced a remarkable recovery, one that forever changed his family's perspective on healthcare. He has since built zero-to-one enterprise products at Cisco, Facebook, and Saama Technologies, where he launched the cloud platform Pfizer used to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccine trials.

    MD, MPH

Charlie's journey in healthcare became deeply personal when his wife survived breast cancer 25 years ago thanks to great treatments. But when stage 4 pancreatic cancer struck, the latest therapies didn't help and they lost her in just 7 months. A healthcare innovation leader from Genentech/Roche and an early advisor-customer of Flatiron Health, Charlie's mission is to help the 20+ million cancer survivors in the U.S. truly thrive.

    Our focus

    Care that continues across survivorship.

Thrive is designed primarily for post-active-treatment needs: organizing what comes next, making room for follow-up questions, and helping people stay connected to the care plan over time. CaringHand's broader clinical model supports survivorship from diagnosis onward, through treatment, transition, and long-term follow-up.

    Our Story

We Built CaringHand Because We've Been There

Survivorship begins at diagnosis, but support can become fragmented as treatment, transition, and long-term follow-up unfold. Too often, people are left to connect the next steps without a clear map.

We experienced this firsthand. Across treatment and follow-up, we faced lingering side effects, confusing test results, and questions that didn't fit neatly into a 15-minute appointment. Our oncology and primary care clinicians were caring, but the full survivorship picture was spread across visits and systems. Finding answers meant hours sorting through conflicting information and medical jargon.

This is the survivorship gap, and it can open at any point from diagnosis onward. We built CaringHand to close that gap with Grace, compassionate board-certified clinicians, and a Living Action Plan grounded in each person's records. It is the support we wished we had: clear context, useful questions, and a plan that stays connected over time.
